Girvetz Hall - Room 2127
Wed, Jul 17 11:00am - 11:45am

I will go over how our team started incorporating accessibility, how we addressed the issues we faced, and where we're at/heading. The focus is more on the practicality of implementing accessibility standards, since there's a lot of information about why to be accessible and what it means to be accessible, but not always how to make sure that you're implementing standards correctly.

Time/interest permitting, I can also go over WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 specifics and go a bit more in depth on where to get more information.

Previous Knowledge
A basic idea of what accessibility is, but little to no experience with accessibility itself is needed. This will be a bit more focused on implementing accessibility in development, but I do not do much development myself, and it's applicable to other roles besides programmer.

Software Installation Expectation
The presentation will be through Google Slides, so I just need access to Chrome. Attendees will just need internet access if they want to look up any of the things I mention while going along.
